I have always believed in a balanced and holistic approach to life which has given me a diverse, encompassing outlook. Through the many different cultures and collective wisdom I believe individuals can make a positive difference to society and the world at large.
I study, practice and teach the Li Family Arts taught by Tony Swanson, Technical Director of the Taoist Arts Organisation. Integral to the Arts is maintenance of good health which is why it fits in so well with my therapeutic practices.
I first learnt Tui Na at The London College of Traditional Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (LCTA) graduating with a Diploma. Since graduating I have been taught additional aspects of Taoist Tui Na that are from teachings learnt by my instructor and form part of the Li Style heritage.
I hold a BSc (Hons) degree in Acupuncture which I gained after completing the three year course. The British Acupuncture Council (BAcC) is the governing body I belong to and they have strict and high standards for patient care. Members have a number of requirements to follow helping to make an already safe therapy very secure for the patient. Full details of the BAcC can be found on their website acupuncture.org.uk
